Edward Album was educated in London, and at Oxford University where he received an M.A. Degree in Jurisprudence. He was awarded the Winter Williams Law Scholarship and an Honorary Scholarship at his college, Christ Church. He subsequently held a Teaching Fellowship at the University of Chicago.
He joined a leading law firm in the City of London and became a partner and head of the Company and Commercial Department.
He then moved to a merchant bank before becoming a director of an international trading company, with treasury and legal responsibilities. He was subsequently appointed legal adviser for the international group, comprising trading and shipping divisions and including also banking and finance work.
He has held directorships in substantial public and private companies.
He holds Fellowships of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Association of Corporate Treasurers and the Institute of Directors. He has maintained his legal practice, giving him an unparalleled breadth of experience in legal, financial and commercial areas of practice. This includes major experience of international transactions.
